HEAD Bicycles are manufactured by their namesake company--a prominnat international manufacturer of sports equipment. As a company, they are primarily concerned with technological innovation. The company motto is "Superior Performance Through Superior Technology," as evidenced in the superior technical quality of all of their parts. They have been in the Sports bussiness since it's debut in the 1950s, when Howard Head, the inventor of the first metal ski, founded the company. Since then, they've has expanded quite a bit. HEAD NV has been under its current management since 1996 and was named on the New York Stock Exchange and the Vienna Stock Exchange in September 2000. Their bike division has been operated by SykkelSport Engros, Oslo, Norway since 2003.
