Rifton Adaptive Scooters are manufactured by the Equipment Company of the same name. They are an American based business that is headquarteed in New York and Pennsilvania . The company got their start as Community Playthings in 1947; they manufactured furniture and toys for schools and child care centers. They have since expanded to create parts and products for people with special needs when they were touched by society's increasing sensitivity to indviduals with special needs and their right to be treated with dignity and respect. Rifton firmly believes that "every child is entitled to a high quality of life." It is their goal to create products that may play a part in the improvement of their daily lives of people with special needs. They specialize in Mobility Scooters.
