Staats Bicycles is owned by the Staat Bicylce Company; an American outfit that is headquarted in Camarillo, CA. The company broke into the industry in 1995 with the sole goal of producing bike frames that were both stronger and lighter than the current frames available. The very first frame they manucatured was for mini cruisers, and after six years of continual use, it was still winning Nationals. Staats is now a well-recognized and respected brand among cycylists. They are now an international company with authorized parts and bikes distributors in the US, Japan, Australia, and the UK. To this day, their frames are designed to be maneuverable, lightweight and extremely sturdy.
