The Strida Bicycle brand is the brain child of egineer, Mark Sanders. Sanders attended programs in both Mechicanal Engeering and Design Engeering at Imperial College and the Royal College of Art in London, and he used the skills he learned at these instituations to cultivate a High-Tech, beautiful commuter vehicle. The brand comes with a long history of excellence, both functionally and stylistically. In 1988, they won all three UK Cyclex Innovation Awards. In 2000, Strida won I.D. Magazine's Annual Design Award, Sail Magazine's Pittman Award for Innovation and Safety, and the British Design Council's Millenium Product Award. Today, the company has managed to stay at the top by constantly updating their line with the lastest in technological advancements and design. Their Bikes and bike parts have the distinction of being greaseless, notably compact and guaranteed maintenance free.
