The eSpark Scooter requires a little manual kickoff to 3 miles per hour before starting. The rider must press a trigger to engage the motor. This is different from the standard Razor E300S and E500S Scooters; they have motors that start from a standing position. However, this is not a problem for the eSpark because once the rider gains momentum the electric motor ramps up to 10 miles per hour.
